I am movin to Dublin, how are things there?

Travel Info
I plan on movin next may or so, and i was wondering what the climate was like during the summer and winter. Also how is employment, would it be easy for an american to get a job? I prefer working in eatery's and pubs and stuff like that.

Travel Tips
Very good. You will probably like it. Its hard to tell about the climate...i'd say "changeable". In winter its cold, it gets really cold in jan and feb, but not as cold as some other places in europe. It rains a lot, especially in autumn and spring, but also in summer and winter. We've had a heatwave this summer though, so we had loads of hot sunny days.

It should be easy enough for you to get a job in a pub or restaurant, there is loads of jobs. One thing to warn about is the cost of living, you'll probably need 2 pub/restaurant jobs to keep you afloat. Rent is really high (especially in the city centre) and stuff costs a lot, especially eating out, going out, public transport, clothes, shoes, cars....everything you need to live basically!

Check out www.daft.ie nearer to when you are moving, its great for finding house/flat shares and rentals.

Dublin, Georgia is a hick town and is dirty and smells like beer.

Oh you mean Ireland? Well that's much cleaner and greener and smells more like whiskey!
It rains and rains there! Great pubs, great people, great food! I found work there OK (office work). I'm Aussie. So you shouldn't have a prob getting work - quite a bit of variety... probably more so in the hospitality field!
