Do u need a passport to travel to Rep of Irland?

Travel Tips
Depends on where you're travelling from and how you're travelling here.

You can drive here from Northern Ireland and do not need a passport. You can get the ferry from Britain and do not need a pasport. If flying, some of the airlines require a passport as ID.

Others
from the USA...yes
yes
Yes. A formal type of ID.
it depends how you are getting there. if its from england - you can travel anywher in the EU without a passport (as long as you have photo ID)

it is the airlines and shipping companies who request passports as they are less likely to be fake and they are the ones who get fined if they bring illegal immigrants into a company.

I learned this in my law class - i am defiantely sure of this
Yes for sure.
Most likly. I know internal flight only require any form of legal photo ID, but outside a country a passport is normally required.
