There are some great pubs in Dublin to choose the best I think is impossible

Johnny Fox's in the Dublin mountains is great
Temple bar is filled with all kind of pubs

Very hard thing to choose
You never said what sort of pub you were looking for but I agree that the Temple Bar-in Temple Bar covers all the bases if you are visiting

Johnny Foxes is great but pretty far out of the city
