Do I need a visa to 1 week-trip to Ireland? |
Travel Info I'm going to Dublin, Ireland next tuesday from NYC. Do I need tour visa to Dublin? Travel Tips If you're a US citizen you have one of the best passports, if not the best in the world. Americans can pretty much go anywhere in the world for vacation (except Cuba and N. Korea). and generally you don't need to apply for a visa (unless you're working). Here's what I got from About.com to help you out. Have a nice trip. About: Ireland for Vistors To enter Ireland, both the Republic and the North, you will need a passport valid for at least six months after your proposed date of departure. Visitors to Ireland are generally exempt from any visa requirements if they hold a valid Canadian or US passport. If you plan to enter Ireland as a tourist and for up to three months only (Northern Ireland up to six months) you will not need to apply for a visa. Similar visa waivers are in place for business travellers and students. Note that if you plan to take up employment either in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland you will have to apply for a Working Visa first. Some exceptions are in place for bona-fide students. There are no required vaccinations for entry into Ireland. Others Nope.. You will need the address of where you are staying, and maybe your return ticket or itinerary. Traveled there 3 months ago from US. |
