How much 鈧?should I take when I am moving to Dublin?

Travel Info
Is it dificult to get job,
live there,
are people frendly?

Travel Tips
Accommodation will be the hardest thing to find.. places near the city centre can cost about 鈧?000 ++ pm and will expect one months deposit. The best website to find a place to live is http://www.daft.ie. Also check www.myhome.ie... do a websearch for more.

There are plenty of jobs (last time I checked - I'm a student this year!). For starter jobs check out the recruitment agencies when you get here - do a search on the golden pages for numbers (www.goldenpages.ie) ring them and email them your CV and they will find you a job. There are thousands of them - I worked for "Julia Ross Hot" for a good while - they were great for finding regular work. Other agencies I have worked for are "Southside Recruitment", "Reeds" and "www.ircon.ie" - there are loads - do a web search.

Yes, the people are friendly.

This place is way too expensive though.

The amount of 鈧偓 you should bring is something I really couldn't say for sure - obviously the more the better. But don't expect to find a place to stay straight away you will probably have to stay in a hostel/with friends for a few nights so account for that. No idea how much that will cost - never had to do that! You can safely assume its more expensive than most other European cities though - deals are possible. Check the web.

All the recruitment agencies I worked for paid 鈧?0 - 鈧?2 per hour for the most basic jobs (filing etc.) and pay weekly. Better paid basic jobs can be found in the catering industry (check eden recruitment).

Also if you are interested in development/helping people in the 3rd world and are good fun/energetic you could work for the direct dialogue department of concern - www.concern.ie. They pay well, I hear the people who work there are fun and its a good cause! Source(s): I live here. Way too much free time.

Other Travel Tips
finding a job is quite easy in most areas but prices are quite high in Dublin so even if you have a good salary you probably find it hard to maintain your standart of living...people are friendly but Dublin is already full of foreigners and I think for some Dubliners it has become too much...I have seen grafities that state "Pole's go home etc.) quite frequently.
Answering your question I think 2000 Euro should be enough money to bring as you will find a job within days...
