Dublin for 3 days on my own - what to do??

Travel Info
I am off to Dublin for 3 nights soon. I was suppposed to be going with an ex but that has ended!

The trip is all paid for so I figure I might as well go and enjoy myself! I have offered the spare place to various friends but none can go.

What can I do to occupy myself for 3 days on my own? Any tips please, touristy stuff, good food (when on my own!) etc?

Travel Tips
You can take a city bus tour. It cost me 10 euro in '03. The pass is good all day and the bus will drop you at about 20 some odd diff sites all around the city. Kilmainom Goal , Guinness Brewery/Storehouse, at St. James Gate, Museums , Trinity Collage , just to name a few. There are busses stopping about every 20 mins. All you do is hope back on and go to a diff place, just show them your pass. Its a great way to see the city.
There is a stop that is close to every major site seeing attraction that is worth seeing. The Arlington is a great place to eat, Its at the corner of Bachelors walk and O'Connel street city center.right on the river, but most places have great food. I would recomend trying the deep fried Brie, its amazing. I would also recomend Taking the dart , Dublin Area Rapid Transit, to Kiliney, south of Dublin , and go to the Druids Chair pub , Tell them friends from Milwaukee sent you. they will treat you well. Also take a walk from there to Killiney hill park , walk to the top of the hill and take in the view. Its truely wonderful. Hope this all helps have fun.

The Temple Bar district has great food (for a quick lunch, the "Bad *** Cafe" is a fun spot. Supposidly Sinead O'Connor used to work there before becoming a singer) and shopping, plus there are plenty of pubs for drinking and live music. Christ Church Cathedral is beautiful to visit and so is Dublin Castle if you like art and architecture. A walk around Merrion Square and Fitzwilliam Square allows you to take in the splendour of some of the city's finest Georgian architecture.
Try staying in a bed and breakfast with a family. It's a great way to meet new friends and get a feel of real Irish food and culture.
try the museans and do the bus tour temple bar for music and wher ever your staying will recomend some good restraunts enjoy your self and i trave by my self to so i cant see you haveing any problems
You could always sit in the pub for 3 days
