Travel Info Are all the pubs definitely shut on good Friday in Dublin ? Travel Tips Yes. All pubs in Ireland will be shut that day and on Christmas day. It is illegal for a premises to open for the sale of alcohol on those 2 days and even off licenses will be closed. Not even supermarkets are allowed to sell alcohol on those days. Others Yes. Unless you are resident in a hotel and then you are entitled to use the resident's bar. One day without beer will do you no harm! Yes unless you know the secret knock! ;-) yes, unless you want to stay in a hotel, in the residents bar. I'm probably wrong since everyone else say yes but I thought there was a thing about non-union staffed pubs. There are some pubs not staffed by union people so they don't have to observe holidays but I could be thinking of a different holiday yes good friday and christmas day and you cant evenget a drink in a hotel the off licences are shut also and supermarkets will not sell drink either |
