Having been to both Dublin and Cork? |
Travel Info am i the only person to think that Ireland is overrated....i mean its alright and the people are amiable enough but its no more than that! Travel Tips No you're not, I went to Dublin a couple of years ago and it was the most overrated city I've ever been to in my life. Others I had to right my mid-term over dublin, but never been there to live it. Yes, it is just you. Ireland rocks. Ireland is great craic if we had decent summers it would be perfect I have family in Dublin, and am off to see them on Monday. Like any city, if you just visit one street in the centre, it will be over rated and very touristy. The old fashioned little boozers just outside the city centre, full of real Dublin people (not plastic paddys) are the best i've ever been to. Roll on Monday Morning!!! ** I didnt suggest you said you visit one street, but most people dont go further than O'Connell St and the Square and then comment! were did you go in dublin its a great place maybe you came at wrong time of year bet you would love it this weekend with it been paddys day the crack will be 90 come again during the summer the irish people are lovely I happened to love Ireland and am actually traveling back there again from the U.S. a 4th time in December. I have to agree with you that I liked Cork better than Dublin though. My favorite parts of Ireland were the smaller cities and countryside. I'm facinated by all the history and archeological sites. |
