Where is nice to stay in Dublin.?

Travel Info
My husband and I would like to go to Dublin for a few days for our anniversary. We live in the north of Ireland so it is easy enough for us to get there, but we are not sure wherewould be good to stay. We would like to be central and we need to have some where to park our car, so that she would be safe. We are kind of on a budget. So any ideas would be welcome. x

Travel Tips
Hi, We stayed in Wynn's Hotel it is in a quiet location just off O'Connell Street. It cost us around 90 euros for 2 nights B&B. Henry Street has all the good shops, it's right next to the Post Office (go inside it takes you back in time). We went on a Tour of the city it cost 15 euros but you could get on off the bus all day at different tourist attractions. We had a fantastic time, i even went for a day excursion to Dublin 23.4.07 i loved it so much it was tiring but well worth it. Flannigans do a lovely meal it's on the right hand side as you face the post office nr, Henry St. Have a lovely anniversary.

Cork is better Dublin is a ripoff
Most hotels in Dublin city are very expensive compared to hotels just outside the city - even B&B's. You'd be looking at minimum of 鈧?0 per person per night and availability at weekends is very limited. You can check accommodation (rates and availability) on www.visitdublin.com.

I would recommend staying in the IBIS hotel at the Red Cow Roundabout (it's Junction 9 off the M50 so coming from the North it would be easy to get to)... http://www.ibishotel.com/ibis/fichehotel...

The hotel is beside the LUAS (tram line) that takes 30 minutes to get into the centre of the city - O'Connell Street.
work in Irish tourism - am originally from Dublin
I have stayed at The Mc eniff Grand Canal Hotel. It is at the bridge below Baggot St bridge and about 10 minutes walk to St Stephens Green or Grafton st. There is a car park there. The hotel is lovely and good value for money. The following website may be of help too

www.visitdublin.com
You have some great suggestions but it might be helpful for you to have a tool where you can sort by price , star rating , location , last minute specials and advance booking discounts.

This way you will find value for money.

Then look at the facilities of the hotel and images [ a thousand words ] to help you decide. Try this link :

Hope it helps
Check www.beourguest.ie but a good location on a budget could be difficult - unless you wait and try to get a last minute deal if you're going midweek
