We just returned from Dublin and I can tell you a few places we went to, that you should definitley not miss. Of course, the Guiness Brewery, the Jameson Distillery and the tower @ Jameson to see the city. The Book of Kells in Trinity College and if you are into it, maybe the James Joyce Museum. (We aren't really into that kind of thing so we didn't go there, but we heard it was nice!) Also, the Viking Splash tours was a TON of fun, thats out by Christ Church Cathedral, Dublinia was a nice "please-touch" museum about Vikings. If you want to get out of Dublin and see the country, take the Mary GIbbons Tour of Newgrange & Hill of Tara, you WONT regret it. Absolutley amazing tour she has. Also, get a tour to see the Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough those are some beautiful sights to see. Go to Leo Burdocks Fish n chips by Dublinia for lunch, then head over to Dublin Castle. Take the City sightseeing hop-on hop-off double decker bus to see the entire city, that way you can get off at anything you think looks interesting. We also went to the Dublin Zoo in Phoenix Park, as it is the 3rd largest zoo in the world. If you like that kind of thing, it is worth it. Ok, I'll stop now, I could go on for days. Hope this helped! Guinness brewery trinity with the book of kells Phoenix park and Stephens green the museums and Dublin castle enjoy your self OK and don't forget the spire in o Cornell st its really a look out for UFOs ha ha ha
None of the Replies you got mentioned Kilmainham Jail you must go there to get the history of the 1916 Easter Rising its where the British jailed and shot the leaders of the Rising a very interesting tour and the GPO and the Four Courts are all part of the history of Dublin
