Good Quality Thai/Chinese/Indian Restaurant? |
Travel Info Hi! My fiance is turning 30 very soon and I want to take him out to a very nice, upmarket restaurant. He likes Thai, Chinese and Indian so either of these would be great. Does anyone know of a really good one in Dublin? City Centre or southside preferably? Thanks. Travel Tips The Langkawi in Baggot Street is a very nice restaurant. It is Malaysian (very close to Thai food) and is run by Alex a nice Malaysian guy. For Indian I also recommend the Kinara in Clontarf, it's excellent. There is also a nice Indian restaurant behind the Westbury Hotel but I cant remember the name. There are lots of Chinese restaurants but can't think of one that I would describe as classy. Others there is on in the o' colonel's street near the mac Donald i dont remember the name any anymore. but i wilt tell you that is the best place cos i always eat there with me friends Not southside, but not very far from the city centre is Kinara which is an outstanding Indian/Pakistani restaurant. http://www.kinara.ie Not the most upmarket but Diep Noodle in Ranelagh is great for a Thai resturaunt and Cinnamon Grass, also in Ranelagh, is a great Indian. (Keep away from the one over Kielys in D'brook - over priced for what you get) This is a great site for finiding Irish resturaunts, you can search by location and cuisine - I used it to organise a big evening out once: http://www.adlib.ie/ Edit: How could I forget! Monsoon in Stillorgan is great. The Shalimar or Jaipour on Georges St for Indian, or go a little bit differnt and Yamamoris for Japanese food Eaten in them all! Also www.adlib.ie a restaurant guide the plaza thai & chinease restaurant in swords village is brilliant. the food is gorgeous and then a dj and karaoke start at half 11 brilliant night out |
