It really depends on where you are coming from?? If you go to http://www.aerlingus.com they have special deals on occasionally that work out the same price as http://www.ryanair.com - both have flights everywhere in Europe, but there are other airlines.
The best by far is http://www.skyscanner.net that compares ALL airlines and lists them by prices and takes almost all departure cities in Europe (and some in US and Canada etc.) Check it out.

Ryan air is the cheapest ever
if you are coming from the uk, aer aerann is a great commuter airline, otherwise ryanair is very cheap from europe.

aerlingus can be cheap from the us or europe as well, but it depends on when you are going, how long you are staying, etc, etc. shop around.
