Travel Tips you will need a really good proof of address- something formal mailed to you at that address. even when i lived in my own flat and had my landlord write a note as proof of address, they would not accept it- i ended up having my employer write a letter and send it to my home. Also, the other responder is correct- it WILL take weeks to receive, so unless the hostel is willing to hold your mail, or you're willing to stay, you may have a problem....the tax system is notoriously slow in ireland. Only problem is that contrary to the quick response they promise you, it could be weeks or even months before it arrives..... are you willing to stay in the hostel for all that time? Good Luck, the Irish PPS and employment system as a whole is pretty backwards and slow, so dont be suprised if you pay emergency tax for ages.... |
