Can you use your birth certificate to travel by ferry from ireland to england? |
Travel Info Can you use your birth certificate to travel by ferry from ireland to england? Travel Tips I think you'll need something with your picture, but in truth, I really don't know. Don't you have a passport? Others No, you need your passport. No - you definitely need a ticket *!* I don't think it would count as id as most people want photo id. Soz I don't think so...but you can use it to get a passport. No. The certificate will get wet. Eventually it will tear and you will sink. I was thinking of exactly trhe same thing only two minutes ago and Ill take this as a sign to go if I see aproper answer. I did travel in 2000 and they never asked for any i.d But all I had was my passport any way and some letters adressed in the uk in my name. Try it any way They are more strict now after 9/11 I was born in England and now living in Ireland. Even though I have an English birth certificate I have to have ID with a photograph in the form of a passport to fly or go by boat from Ireland to England and back again. I hope this answers your question. |
