Pubs and clubs in Dublin? |
Travel Info My fiance and I are going to Dublin in October. I would like to know what pubs and clubs you would recommend? We would like to visit the older traditional pubs and also some dance clubs/bars that stay open later. Travel Tips depending on where you are staying will say where the best place to go is... if you want to stay away from the tourist areas and want to see the real Dublin and like traditional music and atmosphere..I can recommend, 'the cobblestone' in smithfield 'O'sheas merchant' on the quays near christchurch 'the foggy dew' temple bar 'the flowing tide' abbey street lower these all have traditional music nights for clubbing and dancebars, try 'Pravda' at the ha'penny bridge/liffey street 'K3' also in liffey street 'the porterhouse' temple bar- brew all their own beers, great atmosphere- one of my favourites 'the globe' George's street 'bank' in dame street- 'dakota' in south william street- another favourite drinking is expensive in Dublin, most places charge over 5 euro per pint of beer enjoy your stay Others Late clubs and bars are aplenty! Reynards is pretty swish and stays open late. Then you have Bucks, Legs, and Rio's on Leeson St. Bucks and Legs are late Wine bars. If you want a proper reali life Irish experience avoid temple bar like the plague, it's a tourist trap. all clubs in dublinhave to shut at half 2!! (crap i know!!) but heaven in blanchardstown stays open a lil later it good too and barcode is brill too but closes at half two! dont go to K3 its crap!! spirit is also a good niteclub, avoid redz at all cost!!! 21's is good! and if u want the traditional pubs sorry dont do them!! although heard copper face jacks is good!! its where all the culshie's go!! ha x x |
