Is Ireland now more wealthier per capita income wise than the United States?

Travel Tips
per head of capita, with a population of only 4 million, the number of millionaires are high. There is a huge equine industry and the money made in horses in enormous.

there was also a property boom in the last 15 years, so Ireland with a tradition of buying your own home, - an innate desire, probably due to the land occupation by Britain for hundreds of years....but that's another matter.

The rate of home ownership is high , even compared to the rest of Europe, so there are thousands of people living in homes bought for 60,000 Euro, now worth 460,000. So if you include the equity value of their home in the equation, as well as all the wealthy business people, then the answer is yes...

Probably, by the time you change over from dollr to euro, im sure they are...
$10,000 equals 7300E, so work it out from there...
Well that depends, the statisticians say so, our wealth is based in property. My house is worth 鈧?70k which is USD$503k, so in US terms my basic asset is over half a million. All I have is a 3 bed semi in the suburbs of Dublin, anywhere else in the world (maybe apart from London and Tokyo) it would be worth half that.

Our personal and national debt is no where near that of the US (we actually have a surplus), our incomes are high too, the minimum wage is over 鈧?ph (thats nearly $11 per hour), and I earn nearly triple that. But I'm not rich, I'd consider my earnings average, and I'd hate to think how single income families cope, but somehow they do

But the bad news is the personal tax is from 20% to 41% of your earnings, VAT is 21% or 13.5% (depending on if its a good or service) The price of goods is expensive, I'm off to the US later in the year to celebrate my birthday (whahay) so I'm saving up on buying my handbags, perfume and shoes until I get there! Esp with such a weak dollar at the min!

If what the staticians say is true than it certainly does not feel that way to me!
