Otavalo is about a 1 hour ride away from quito. i was born in quito but i grew up in the states. last time i was there at the market in otavalo all the natives where asking, where are you from? i was like, here, why?? i speak spanish, i dont even look american and everyone kept asking from what country i was from. wierd. i guess living away really unleashes you from your own homeland. Others Well, I just checked their website and they appear to have travel services. Otavalo is one on the biggest attractions near Quito, so it would suprise me if they didn't offer it. If they don't, I would recommend going to Metropolitan Touring (is the largest tourist company in Ecuador, very good service and good reputation - also a bit pricey, but worth it).
