How can I get driving directions and maps from charlotte, NC to guayaquil, Ecuador? |
Travel Info tools information, driving liscence information, transit information Travel Tips Hi I suggest the following: a) Contact AAA and they will provide good maps for you that can use for the portion U.S.A. MEXICO and crossing the border into Guatemala. Then the best bet is to follow the Pan American Highway South bound for Panama. It is very simple as they don't have as many highways on contral america. Once you get to Panama you either have to ship the car on a Ship bound for Guayaquil, Ecuador, or take the most dangerous route and ship the car to Cartagena or Barranquilla in Colombia and drive towards Ecuador Border where you will cross the Border in Ipiales- you continue on the Pan American Highway south until you get to Quito and then take the Highway west to Guayaquil.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS. 50-50 chance you will be kidnapped or killed on your way from Cartagena to Ipiales. It is a very enjoyable and nice trip you need a good car, do not do it alone, and make sure that you have at least a littlebit of spanish or can read instructions. If you carry a Laptom computer, link into google maps and you can get instant and excellent maps on both: geographic and satellite imagery,. In some point between Panama and Colombia you麓ll have to change to plane or boat, then you can go to Ecuador. i dont think youll even arrive ALIVE after passing central america in an american car....think again...too risky, not worth it! |
