Anyone know of any good B&Bs on the Isle of Skye?

Travel Info
I asked last week about places to visit when I go to Scotland In September . The Isle of Skye seems a popular choice so I am planning to spend a few days over there . Just wondered if any of you knew of any good B&Bs through personal expierence ? Thanks in advance Bill

Travel Tips
I just returned from the Isle of Skye this past week. There are B&B all over the island but remember, it is an island. Meaning it is pretty "rustic". Don't be looking for anything fancy, I found that the bathroom facilities ie: the showers didn't co-operate at times. Maybe try a small hotel like the Dunollie Hotel on the "main" street. It is a small hotel, 2 floors.

Last month we did sleep one night in www.greenbankonskye.co.uk - a B&B almost on the top of the peninsula Waternish on Skye with a wonderfull view on the Hebrides. If you drive a little more north than the B&B the view is even more spectacular. Not the cheapest B&B, but well worth it.
Skye's a fantastic place to go visit, there are some great places on the south of Skye, The Isle of Ornsey Hotel, is in Sleat [8miles from the ferry, 15 from the bridge] Good food and a fantastic setting, the public bar is full of characters, live music and your bound to hear people speaking Gaelic fluently. If thats a too pricey there is a great guest house in Harrapool [10 miles from the bridge] http://www.skyebedbreakfast.co.uk/... . opened earlier this year, fantastic sea views, guests have seen otters from the dining room window, couple are really friendly, breakfast is fab and they'll even make you dinner.....and it's not at all rustic Hope this helps have a great time there...

the Pink Guest House in Portree is absolutely wonderful!Me and my partner stayed there when I went in April. Just cozy enough and very quiet. The lady were very cool about me and my partner, since it's very gay friendly. And just outside, a great port, not very touristy...just perfect and romantic...
