Why is Tynecastle Park in Edinburgh so called?

Travel Tips
Hearts moved to the then peripheral Gorgie area from central Edinburgh in 1881, to a ground named Tynecastle Park. This pitch stood on the site of the present-day Wardlaw Street and Wardlaw Terrace. Five years later, with the city continuing to expand, tenements replaced the old ground and Hearts moved to a "New Tynecastle", the present ground, on the other side of Gorgie Road.
