Am going to Edinburgh on Sunday? |
Travel Info do u know any good places to eat and vist in the city center am going for 4 days with my bf. am already going to the zoo carnt wait Travel Tips Loads to see and do. The Royal Mile has lots going for it. Ghost walks and walking tours are great, I'd recomment Mercat Tours (good website). You can also visit old streets beneath the old town (Mary Kings Close), again check out the website. Edinburgh Castle is a must, and at the other end of the Mile, the Scottish Parliament is worth a look. For food, there's a couple of chinese buffets, one on Waverley Bridge, which represent good value for money. If money's no object, the Witchery Restaurant is supposed to be great, but you'll need very deep pockets indeed. Edinburgh is my favourite city. Anywhere. Others Princes Mall next to waverley Station there is a few nice cafes in there the zoo's not that great, you can visit the castle' the dungeons go on a ghost tour, the royal mile, there is some good pubs so you will be spoilt for choice, have fun. If you like ghost tours, we've been to the Blair vaults, Mary King's Close and some other underground vaults where people used to live. We've been to several castles and they were great. We stopped to eat at some of the little cafes which had great food. I love Scotland. My husband and I have been there 4 times. Must visit the Castle, then take a stroll down High Street and if have time, visit the museums on Chamber Street. The Elephant cafe is nearby for delicious lunches at reasonable price. Dont forget shops close early on Sunday and its dark by 4pm these days. So plan ahead and most importantly enjoy each others company... :-) if yiou want a good steak go to the hotel Hello Shell If you love fish supper etc, this hedgehog will tell you that The Deep Sea across from the Playhouse Theatre will have you drooooooling! theluckyhedgehog |
