In your opinion. Wheres better. New York Or Edinburgh? |
Travel Info I live in Edinburgh and have been to New York. Both city's are amazing. Travel Tips Well, I'm from Edinburgh but married a lovely lady from New York. I took her to Edinburgh and our first trip after checking in at the hotel was to the Old Town. Walking back to the hotel, she stopped at the top of the Mound and was overwhelmed by the view across the gardens to the Balmoral Hotel. Absolutely beautiful. My first sight of New York (apart from the airport and the Belt Parkway) was coming out of the subway at Times Square. Bloody heck! That, my wife tells me, was what my first words were at that sight. Awesome. Yes, both cities are amazing. They are also, as someone else said, two different sorts of city. I love them both, but for vastly different reasons. If money were no object (especially in NYC. lets face it) I would be very happy to live in either city. If there is one thing that binds Edinburgh and New York, in my opinion, it is a sense of community greater than any other cities I know. Others Edinburgh. Considering that New York is going to be in the sights of every terrorist from the middle east for the next 200 years I am going with Edinburgh. NY, but Edinburgh is peaceful I love them both, but I think they are so different. Both cities are best in their own ways. Can't choose just one. I haven't been to either so I can't give an informed opinion, but if someone gave me the choice to visit one, it would be New York, no question. They are so different, I don't see how you can ask which one is better. It all depends upon what you are looking for. If you want, clubs, bars, 24 hour entertainment, then New York is the option. But if you want, a city steeped in history, amazing sights, tourist attractions, walks etc. then Edinburgh is definitely for you. I've been to them both, but I could never choose one over the other. They are both great places in their own right and each offer totally different things. |
