Any nice b+b's in edinburgh? |
Travel Info Any nice b+b's in edinburgh? Travel Tips I live in Edinburgh. I searched the internet recently for friends & discovered many things need to be considered. For instance, I could have paid 拢120 in Corstorphine, but found excellent accommodation at the other end of the town for 拢50 total. It all depends also on whether you wish to be absolutely central or whether you are prepared to travel in. The bus services are really very good. I would say that you are best to go by personal recommendation, as I discovered that quite a number of Tourist Board B&Bs are used almost entirely for homeless persons. That certainly is the situation with some in Pilrig Street. The personal recommendation that I would make is "Milton House", 24 Duddingston Crescent (which is located on Milton road East), Edinburgh EH15 3AT. This is very near both the A1 to Berwick-on-Tweed and also the City Bypass road. Another suggestion is that the YMCA have recently opened a new centre in Leith Walk which has its own cafeteria attached. Have a good stay in Edinburgh. I was born there, moved away for 33 years, and am now back rediscovering all that I missed during that time. Others Sorry don't know, but check out lastminute, expedia and opodo and then read reviews of the places on tripadvisor, to see whats more suitable for you Lots - The best areas for B&Bs are Murrayfield, Pilrig Street and Newington/Mayfield Road Road. All a short journey to the city centre and on main bus routes Plenty of good value B&B'S in Portobello 5 mins from Edinburgh plenty of buses go there even a night time service. Portobello also has a large sandy beach it's Edinburgh's seaside. A-Haven Guesthouse in Ferry Road, Leith, which is about a 8 minute bus ride from Princes Street. |
