Parking In Edinburgh City Centre?

I'm coming up to Edinburgh to see The Foo Fighters in August, we're bringing the car and will need to find parking from the Tues 21st August until Late on Wed 22nd August. The hotels we are looking at don't seem to have any parking (from what i can tell) and we need it for over 24 hours.. any ideas of which car parks or best? I've heard it is very hard to get any type of car parking in edinburgh, is this true? Many Thanks.

Other Travel Tips
If you are staying in the city centre then you are best to try a long stay car park such as the one at Waverley Station but it will be expensive. If your hotel is outside the city centre and controlled parking zones then you should be able to park for free.
