What is the postal code or zipcode of u.k? |
Travel Info What is the postal code or zipcode of u.k? Travel Tips The UK Postcode is used to separate areas the size of a few hundred meters. The first letters relates to the sorting office area, WA = Warrington, L = Liverpool, M = Manchester. The number following this is the area. WA1 = Central Warrington M3 = Town Hall area. The final part is the location. KA27 8AA = ISLE OF ARRAN(KA), Brodick (27), Mayish Road (8AA) Try searching the Postcode finder on the royal mail website http://www.royalmail.com Others I have a feeling the OP is American ^_^ Let me ask you this; What is the zip code of the USA? I'm not sure what you are asking, did you mean United States (US) or United Kingdom (UK, Great Britain, England) The United States is divided in regions where each region has an assigned number of 5 digits, which is called ZIP CODE ,like 90210 in Beverly hills,CA In the United Kingdom, each street has a different POSTAL CODE, which normally consists of 1 or 2 letters and 1 number along with a number and 2 letters. E14 4ED this is for the Hertsmere Rd in London EH1 1YT this is for the North Bridge Rd in Edinburgh, Scotland The UK is not a US state, and therefore does not have a 'zipcode'. Just address it to the 'UK'. Post codes cover about a street at most, there aren't many houses within each postcode area. You have to be American, right? Does US have one Zip Code to cover the entire country? No. I didn't think so. So why would UK, which is made up of 4 different countries (not states, but countries), have only 1 post code? Believe it or not, the UK is big enought to have more than one 'zip-code'. That question is like saying, 'I know a bloke called Bob who lives in the UK - you must know him'. Please don't be so insulting! |
