Others Edinburgh is a great city, and there is tonnes to do. For culture, there are many theatres, showing plays, opera, dancing etc. There are also a number of art galleries, most of which are free to get into (apart from some special exhibitions). There are also a lot of tourist attractions including the castle, holyrood palace, the royal mile, Calton Hill, Arthurs Seat, Mary Kings Close, ghost tours... If you want to get some good views there are a few great places to go. There is a roof terrace at the top of the national museum of Scotland on Chambers street which gives a great view of the City. Also walking up either Calton Hill (E end of Princes Street), or Arthurs Seat (in Holyrood Park) will give great views. There are also tonnes of great restaurants and bars in Edinburgh.
