Is it cheaper to fly into Edinburgh than to fly into London?

I'm taking a trip in late September and plan to visit both of these cities. I'll also be visiting Northern Ireland and Ireland. I'm looking for budget friendly flights. If you know which major city is cheapest to fly to I appreciate all your help!

try to avoid it.

No, when I went to Scotland I went through Heathrow and is was about $300 cheaper but it was a few years ago. Try BA and Continental
I had the same experience. And BA always seems to have the best prices.
I checked just the other day, and the United flights from Portland, Oregon to Edinburgh were cheaper than the ones to London.
