How far is st.andrews from edinburgh, scotland? |
Travel Info by bus/car....is there a faster way to get to edinburgh from st. andrews?? like a train...is it expensive? how long does it take to get there for each of these modes of transportation? thanks.. Travel Tips Buses run directly from Edinburgh to St Andrews. It takes about 45 minutes in a car or a bus. There is a train that goes from Edinburgh to Leuchars (St. Andrews doesn't have its own train station). You can either grab a taxi or a bus from there into St. Andrews. There are some buses that run in connection with the train service to Leuchars. I'll put a couple links below that will give you more information about the buses and trains to take to St. Andrews. Its about 50 miles North of Edinburgh. Driving this would probably take about an hour and a half (try and avoid rush hour though or it will take longer). A bus would probably take about the same, depending on if it had other stops. http://www.nationalexpress.com/... You can also get a train to Leuchars station which takes about a 1 hour http://nationalrail.co.uk/ From Leuchars you then need to take a bus for about 15 minutes into St Andrews (there is no train station in St Andrews). Not sure of the price of any of these though - it would probably be cheaper taking the bus. |
