Travel Info What is edmonton and where is it can you find that in canada? Travel Tips it is the capital city of alberta, which is in western canada Others Edmonton is the Capital city of Alberta. My sister used to live there and it is beautiful. Look for Alberta and you should find it. Have a great time!!! Edmonton is located in the province of Alberta. It is the capital of Alberta, but I think the largest city there is Calgary. FYI, the largest mall in the world is found there Edmonton is Alberta's capital city.. Its pretty nice place. I grew up there.. Its a working city, blue collar type. Almost dead centre in the province. Alot of history here including Northamericas largest recreated Fort, Largest mall West Edmonton Mall it is a one stop shop, takes a good 2 1/2 days to go threw everything ...3 to enjoy some of the attractions there... Muttart Conservatory is neat set up of 2 pyramids full of unique horticulture... In the summer there are lots going on because of the number of parks located within the city limits... as well as the Fringe Festival off of Whyte Ave that is here every year... Im not sure why but alot of people who visit from New York really like Edmonton and have moved here. I use to work the public so heard a number of comments made. After all its still a place where you can hang out till 3 am without getting raped or murdered. Of course like any city common sense comes into play. Stay out of alley ways and so forth. Best place to look it up is either travel Alberta cause this province has alot to show and tell... Along with any map site showing where its located..
