Doctors in Edmonton?

hi, i really need some advise, i have just moved back to canada from england, i have applied for my health insurance but its going to take up to 8 weeks but i really need to see a doctor, i went to a medi center today but its going to cost me $100 just to see the doctor. does anyone know anywhere were i can see a doctor for free or a cheaper price? any advise is appreciated
