I would like to know if I take my laptop to D. R. from Can. Can I use their power on my laptop? |

Travel Tips Any place in the western hemisphere is on the same 120 volt system, only in South America you might find a different issue, Europe is a different story, almost every country has a different plug, but adapters are available, check with the travel agency, as some restrictions are in place, plus if there hotels does not have internet service you could be out of luck. I am a former chef who worked in Jamaica, and know they run the same as us, but check first, it's a load to be lugging a laptop if it not nessessary, now I am doing Computer tech work, and have had clients ask the same question, if your able check the hotel website, there would info there to aid in your question. Others I was in DR in January and they had the same voltage, but only the two prong plugs, not the three prong. Your laptop probably has three prong. If you google "voltage Dominican Republic" something should come up to confirm this. |
