Where can I buy brand new washing machines/dryer/dishwasher in edmonton for a good price? |
Travel Info Where can I buy brand new washing machines/dryer/dishwasher in edmonton for a good price? Travel Tips Buying brand new appliances can be a costly and frustrating experience. If you don't need to purchase them all from the same place and spend some time and energy tracking down some good deals you can save a lot of money. There are always the Bricks, the Home Depots, etc.Home Depot isn't always the cheapest and yes you can sometimes hit a good deal at the Brick. First decide what features are going to be important to you - size, white or SS, etc. You cannot just rely on sales people - you must do your research because that great bargain may turn out to be a dud after awhile. You should take into consideration the delivery costs which could in fact add as much as $75.00. Yes, some of the stores say they have "free delivery" but it only applies if you spend a certain amount like at Leon's. Delivery costs do drive up the cost of appliances so be sure to ask before paying for it. You may be able to purchase brand new appliances from new home showrooms after they are finished with them. I would suggest checking the newspaper, the trader and a couple of the free internet sites like Kijiji and Craig's List. www.kijiji.com www.craigslist.org Many people purchase new homes and decide to upgrade their appliances - you can find great buys this way. Also by checking the Trader you will see many places selling brand new appliances at discount prices. Try Sears or The Bay and check out their clearance sections - they do put the floor models on clearance - ask when this happens - usually during one of their Warehouse sales. Don't discount Trail Appliances who also has a clearance section plus a couple of times a year they also clear out old models. Do Not settle for something you're not going to be happy with just because it was a "good deal" because trust me in the long run it won't be. Try to buy "Energy Star" appliances and check for rebates : http://www.oee.nrcan.gc.ca/energystar/en... Check the following site for guidelines for dishwaters; http://www.oee.nrcan.gc.ca/energystar/en... Many manufactures or stores themselves have rebates on certain Energy Star appliances. If you know the name of the manufacturer check their website for rebates and many of those websites will also tell you about their promotions. Know what it is that you Need not just want and I suggest you let your "finger do the walking" - take the phone book and spend some time calling some of the places. The reason I say this is because once you start calling you will be surprised with the additional information you'll get that you didn't even take into consideration. Each time you call you'll have additional information you can ask about. This will help you make an informed decision but these are big ticket items and you expect them to last a long time because of the investment ( yes, they really are an investment) I say "investment" because if you're thinking of selling your home the type of appliances you have could be the "deal breaker" - high-end appliances or Energy Star ones add Value to your home. Hopefully these had helped you. Good Luck. Source(s): i Other Travel Tips you can try the brick clearance center thats where I bought mine I only paid 800 and it was a top of the line front load washer it was a great deal. There was a dent in the back of the machine so I got the delivery for free to boot the Bay, the Brick, Leons, Home depot Sears |
