don't go to wal mart though
there are Zeller's all over the place and dollar stores where you don't have to drive forever to park a mile from the door and wait in line for an hour

A study published today in the latest issue of Social Science Quarterly examines the effect of Wal-Mart stores on local poverty rates. The study found that nationwide an estimated 20,000 families have fallen below the official poverty line as a result of Wal-Mart鈥檚 expansion.
