What are the living conditions on oil rigs?

Travel Tips
Its smaller than regular barracks, but roomier than a submarine. The work is dirty and done in 12 hour shifts...12 on and 12 off...
The food is excellent with large portions. I'm sure that some rigs are nicer than others. The harder work is on 'drilling rigs'. 'Production rigs' are easier.

Others
The work is hard (and long) the food is GREAT, and there is a ton of excellent gay sex.
none you die there
Do you really want to know?
It really depends on where in Alberta you work. Accommodations if they can be called that are tiny - and hopefully you don't have to share with a roomie who is on the opposite shift.
There are barrack type accommodation, apartment style (these are the ones everyone want and only a few get) trailers that are cold and draftee and then there are the place you need to find yourself - hotel room if you can find one - your rv, tent or vehicle. Oh, watch out for the other workers - there are some who show no mercy to newbies. Good Luck
