What are the requirements in obtaining a canadian working visa? |
Travel Info What are the requirements in obtaining a canadian working visa? Travel Tips Check out the CIC website. One thing is that you need to be a skilled worker, which means that your employer has proven that they've tried to hire a Canadian for that job, but wasn't able to. I would strongly suggest you carefully read the CIC website. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/index.... Others please refer to the site that provides online assesment of working visa by searching over google with following keywords canadian working visa assesment Must go to your canadian embassy in your country , and file the necessary papers to obtain a working visa. Oh Boy, let me tell you...it is soooo not easy. Firstly you need to get a job. Here's an example. My employer had to apply to HRSDC (Human Resources Skills Development Canada) to get permission(Market Opinion) to employ a foreign worker (that is you need skills that a Canadian doesn't have or if the company cannot find a skilled local Canadian to fill). Make sense so far?? When they get approval (takes up to 8weeks) you then need to apply to Citizenship & Immigration (see their website at http://www.cic.gc.ca ) it is not user friendly nor easy to navigate. You need to apply for a Work Visa. Currently applications are taking 53 days to process (that's for them to open your envelope.). So as you can see the process is long & involved. I wish you much luck. me |
