Travel Info Weather in edmonton alberta canada country? Travel Tips Today's high temp was 26 degrees below zero Celcius. With the wind blowing on you and adding "windchill" factor, it is 34 degrees below zero. Weather not fit for man nor beast...........and darn few women. Others Polar bear season starts at the middle of October and stays till the ice melts in mid June. In July and August it is not necessary to take a bear rifle with you when you are on the streets. Come Sept it could be a little iffy . cold, good hockey weather During the winter it can get pretty cold. There's a lot of snow so you have to deal with shovelling, bad roads and all that but if you're into the outdoors it's great for snowboarding. skating, etc. It's not always cold though...in the summer the weather's actually really nice. It's been differing every year, I think last yeat winter seemed to come a little late and the winter wasn't too bad. This year however, it's pretty chilly at the moment. well I'm from New Brunswick and I'm so sorry I'm not there right now cause its to darn cold in Edmonton....and dont get me even started on the roads here........for one of the richest cities in Canada....they suck big time.........no need of it at all.... moved here........darn it What can one say? Some years the winter is almost balmy and other years it's the Artic. This year you're in the artic zone of it with cold air rolling in from the NW. Last year we were basking in sunshine and warm weather until Feb. Usually the snow doesn't stay until Dec. and the coldest months have been Jan. and Feb. I moved from NW Ont and trust me the winters here are usually a lot shorter and less severe. There is the brutal damp cold - here it's a dry cold - big difference. They say if one just waits awhile the weather changes - yup it does so you never really know from one day to the next. |
