Where To Get Married? |
Travel Info I am getting married in Edmonton, Alberta and we are going to be having the reception at the Hotel MacDonald but we have no idea where to hold the ceremony. It can be at a church or building just somewhere beautiful and indoors. Any ideas? Travel Tips If you want an outdoor wedding, there are a number of nice places in the river valley where you can hold a wedding - The gazebo in Hawrylak Park, Fort Edmonton Park, etc. You can also use the legislative grounds - I suggest going there for pictures even if you don't do your cerimony there. If you want to plan for indoors (which is always a good idea in Edmonton in September - it could easily be snowing) the Muttart Conservatory is always nice. You can also use the same room as you are having your reception in at the Hotel MacDonald. That's what my wife and I did (although we were at the Coast, not the Mac). It worked out well because people didn't have to move around town, they could just stay in one place. And there's always the West Ed. People get married there all the time. I think it's tacky, but hey, there's no accounting for taste. Others check this site for ideas www.rafanellievents.com kisses and good luck What time of year are you getting married? The church of North Edmonton is old, quaint and unique. It depends on the size of your wedding the Muttart Conservatory is beautiful you could have you ceremony at the hotel mac (that way your guests don't have to travel) |
