I would like know how easy it would be to go to Egypt to learn arabic? |
Travel Info how would i go about it ?how much does it cost how long would i have to go away for ?i would be very geratfull if you could give me as much information Travel Tips Well first of all, keep in mind that when arabic is taught, that it is usually classical arabic that you will be learning, which, though a good foundation, isn't the most practical thing to be speaking in the streets, as it is very formal and used for speeches/ books etc. Almost every country where arabic is spoken, they have their own "version" In Morocco, Alegeria and Tunisia they speak differently than in Egypt and the Gulf etc. The good thing about Egyptian is that many arabs understand it, since many Egyptian movies and songs are popular all over the Arab world. One safe place I heard of is the American University in Cairo, which, though more expensive than the average language school may help you out...perhaps you can matriculate as a non-degree student. I started to study arabic as well, and once you get past the alphabet bit, it should be smoother sailing! Best of luck!! Others to leaarn arabic is not easy liek that, you need to work hard for tat in syria we have school for teaching arabic language for non arabic speakers, i dont know about egypt it would take you 3-6 months to start talking, but you cant learn it to be a teacher, wish you luck There are classes in Egypt I belive they are 6 weeks long. There is another way which you can do this: I bought an excellent software program Also listen to Plimser Egyptian Arabic cd's and also I have several books and I am self teaching myself. The people in Egypt understand my Arabic very well. I know that I have a long way to go but every day I get closer. So I practice at home and then travel back and forth to Egypt. there is this Arabic language center in Egypt, it's the most famous arabic center in Egypt for the foreigners who want to learn arabic language, check the site n they will tell u wt r the procedures to subscribe. www.fajr.com also check this one for accomodations in egypt for students, it will show u the cheapest places to live and so many places to learn arabic and not only arabic, but also any language in any country... www.learn4good.com don't forget to visit me when u're here in egypt :) hope i helped...and good luck www.learn4good.com eggyptian butterfly it's very cheap to live and study here. But do you want to study egyptian colloquial arabic, or modern standard arabic? Also are you male or female. As a female you better not mind being grabbed and harrassed on the streets. if you are a loosy goosy, you will find the men very easy here, so you would enjoy that, ubt if you are a proper woman, you will find it very irritating.
