How long will it take to explore Cairo (Egypt)? |
Travel Info just wanting to see the place, see some of the sights and maybe a trip on the Nile and see a pyramid or two. how long do i need, bearing in mind i only have 2 weeks off work Travel Tips It only took me about a week. There's lots of great sights, but you can fit so many thing into one day. The pyramids were probably the best, but I'll warn you ahead of time that the camels are painful after 5 minutes of riding. The food is good too, but I got sick of it pretty quickly. So anything more than a week would be overboard. Others u can make it in 6 days !! Depends on how early you get up in the morning. I heard from a person I ran into in Cairo that you can see more and get more done if you get up very early (sunrise). Of course some things might not be open at that time. Early morning according to Egyptian time is 12 noon. But you will find the streets fairly empty at that time. Of course I was never up that early unless I had not gone to bed from the night before yet! Spent 6 weeks in Egypt this year. It was my second time there and I have yet to see a pyramid. But I hear they are very nice. The museum, too. one week max. 2 weeks is enough 2days tops, Cairo is a very busy city 3 million travel into Cairo every day, it bwill also depend on the interests you have on your time you need in cairo, some things to do are on the myegypt.co.uk web site we found it most helpfull gremlins |
