Can anyone recommend a good tour company to visit Egypt? |
Travel Info Has anyone had a good (or bad) experience with a particular tour company to Eqypt they could share? Also, if you recommend a tour company, can you recommend the particular tour you enjoyed and why you enjoyed it. Thanks! Travel Tips Ok, I didn't go with a trip company, but I can help you with something. First there is a lot to see in Cairo, for example like the Cairo Museum, The Pyramids, City Stars, and there are other loads of museums. I would also recommend going to Luxor and Aswan, I went there before and I really had fun and a good experiance in Luxor and Aswan. There is a lot to see in Luxor and Aswan, so I highly recommend going to Luxor and Aswan. Last but not least, Sinai. It is said that Sinai has the best air you can breath in the whole world. Sharm El Sheikh, Ras Sedr, Dahab, Neweba, and Taba. These are the best places you can go in Sinai, in my opinion I think that Sharm El Sheikh is the best. This was my own tour experiance in Egypt by myself.There are a lot of tour companies in Egypt, one of them is Egypt Tour, I guess. Have a nice trip in Egypt. Others I went via Jordan, there are many tour companies. If you want a good deal fly to Jordan visit there and go to travel agencies and ask for deals. We went 2 years ago, in the summer, and for a week $500 each, that included airfare from Jordan to Cairo, 5 star hotel The Grand Hyatt, guided tour, Fantastic breakfast Buffet. It was really worth it. you could catch a train, plane or bus to Luxor or Aswan and do the cruise. You will get the best price if you do it when you get there. It just depends how important money is. Hi genie I'm sorry .. i do not know what country r u in .. that is why i will not be able to answer the 1st part of ur Q. but regarding to the second half .. i strongly recommend that u visit sharm elshekh.. if u r interesting in having fun .. see views.. swim.. dive.. desert safari ... etc. also Hurgada is a wonderful place to go .. u could extent ur vacation for other 4 days & visit Luxur & Aswan .. will will see a lot of amaizing stuff in there I hope all the best to u ... have fun we just got back from Egypt yesterday, had a marvelous time. went with another family on tour with a new company called myegypt, what an experiance.my hubby is a very money orientated man. his motto nothing for nothing. and he actually tipped them 200拢 now that is saying something. all i will say is want a good holliiday in egypt they are well recomended, one price airport to airport, we paid 1500$ each , 13 days, look at there web site see what you get for your money, i actually just sent them an e-mail thanking them. well just to say we got back safaly, and we are thinking of going back in october to do the nile by sail boat with them. the tour number is 1.on their web site. just checked, Myegypt Nile cruise & Tours egypt tours.nile cruise.egypt hotel luxor.luxor hotel.valley of the kings. ... Egypt Hotel Luxor (Myegypt Hotel) was started 10/12/2005 and is jointly owned ...www.myegypt.co.uk I have been to egypt twice first i went with a big tour company I will not say who but my feeling is from other travelers to egypt is, that they are basicaly the same, once they have your money they do not care about you or who rips you off. our first trip was 1500拢 each that is what we paid up front for the flight and the suposedly 5 star hotel for 2 weeks most of the time we where stuck in the hotel as it was to expensive to do the tours and so on we where told not to go out of the hotel without a guide, or the egyptians will rip you off , never go out with your bag and money, and only eat in the hotel as the food in the local resaurants etc where unsafe to eat at,that is what we were told on our first day, and our feelings where where the hell are we what knd of country is this and as strangers to the country we believed what they said, we did do two tours but it was 20 mins here 20 mins there and never really got to see anything and we where herded around like sheep. so after the second tour we'de had enough and decided to cut our losses and go back home. only to be told the flight was fully booked and had to stay the whole two weeks to catch the flight we where booked on.so there we where in a very strange country afraid to go out, on our last full day there while having breakfast we got talking two another couple. and they asked if we would share a taxi with them to go and visit a small temple about 10 miles out of luxor we said no and explained the reason why, they where quite shocked at what we told them any way we went and had a really nice day with them in the evening we went out again to the market area on our own. then we paid our hotel bill we almost passed out we had the total bill for tax sevices tours and food 760拢 next day we where on our way home,and went through our bills on how much this trip had cost and found out our hotel bill was each as we paid by card and the bill was in arabic we did not quiry in the hotel, on the plane we got talking to a lady who had been to egypt 4 times and said she went this time to the desert and the oasis and went through a list of places she had been and seen, anyway when we got back home there was a series on the telly about Egypt, so we decided to go back but this time we did a lot of reserch on what we where actually going to get to see and what we wanted to go and see. and we decided on using the company called itself myegypt. last november we went back and had the most fantastic time with them nothing was too much trouble we even changed some of the itinary, as we had seen it before and went or did something else like one morning we had a wake up call at 5.00 to go up in the hot air balloon over the valley of the kings, that was out of this world. another day we spent the afternoon with lunch and wine picnick on the Nile sail boat, so you want to go to egypt do not go with any big tour companies do it on your own the local people are really freindly. ok you get some hassle but they have to make a living and the big tour opperators are not doing them any favours by telling all them lies, so not recomended big tour companies unless you get a total price home and back home' myegypt price airport back to airport 1500$ each but that was last year for 2 weeks with the 5star 3 day cruise.fully reccomended. and i tell every one about them. mrs R and gremlins. gave the answer i was going to I will give the reasons they lived up to what they advertise. and more, cairo was really good loads of places to visit. the desert trip now that was something else never dreamed a place could be so magnifico. the night in the desert and the bedhuoin village i will never forget. sorry to say this not complaining but it was a bit tiring as we wanted to see all in the 2 weeks.look at their web site, to see what I mean. it was a trip of a lifetime though,we saw Egypt and not from the tourist side, the real egypt. the other thing was we paid more than what mrs r did because we did it as a couple and wanted it to be that way. if we had the bill at the end and it would of been for double what we paid it would still of been worth it I think our total from them was 2200拢 we had other bills to pay such as beer wine gifts etc. |
