Snorkeling red sea?

i have just returned from hurghada, the snorkeling from the beaches was very dissapointing,where in egypt can you snorkel the reefs from the beach,and, can you reccomend a nearby hotel.

Sharm is brilliant forsnorkelling.Especially Sharks bay where you can get into the sea very easily. There is a jetty which takes you over the coral and you dont have to stand on them.We have seem all types of marine life NO SHARKS.I have been twice and intend to go there again this year. Try the Hilton Sharks Bay that is were we stay. A fantastic hotel and its all inclusive. Wherever you go have a good time.

sharm el sheikh is the best, there are loads of hotels to go to, try looking for hotels in Naama Bay
Sharm el Naga, It's about 20Km south of Hurghada.
You cansnorkel from the beach [10 m of water 10 m from the beach] The corals are protected with ropes, buoys and beach guards.
There is an entrance fee to the beach and you can rent snorkeling gear and buy snacks and drinks on the beach. There are some big hotels a few kilometers to the south.

I have experinced all snorkeling places in Egypt , but the best is Dahab ,Blue Hall .
Sharm Elsheikh , Ras Mohamed

In Dahab u can find lots of hotels not so fancy but they r nice
The best place is Dahab, you can go from Hurghada across on the ferry to Sharm and then by bus to Dahab.Snorkeling can be done from the shore and it is really beautiful. There is a place called "Blue Hole" but you will need to go by jeep and you can ask at any hotel or camp and they will arrange a trip for you. Dahab has 5 star hotels and cheaper 1 star and many camps.

In hurgada there r a lot of places like Sharm Alnaga and sahl Hashiesh also u can go to Algiftoon island if u went south u can go to Marsa Alam which is about 270 km from Hurgada u find alto of palces there like Shark House Dolphin House and eliphistone also in sharm elshikh Ras mohammed wich is one of the most beautiful places for snorkeling and diving in the world in dahab u can go to Blue Hall ,eel garden ,lagouna Ras Abou galloum allot of places and for hotels u have any where hotels in all classes straiting from hostel until very expensive u decide what u want in hotel and u will find what do u need
