What is the diffrence between egyptian arabic language and modern arabic? |
Travel Info i dont speak arabic but i would love to learn the language. Travel Tips the modern or the classical Arabic is the source of all Arabic dialects spoken in all the Arabic countries... the difference between the Egyptian and the modern Arabic is the accent, and the way you pronounce some letters: in Egypte, they pronounce the "J" like "g", and another letter near the "k" in the classical arabic, like "a" . many words are different as well, because egypte was an Othmani state, so they are still suing many turkish words in them current language, like agsekhana, afandi, dastour..... i think basicly it's the main difference, but the base of the egyptian language is the classical arabic, or what you called the modern arabic... If u need any other informations you know how to reach me!! Source(s): yes, it's me again!! Other Travel Tips Egyptians pronounce the letter "j" as "g", so words like Jamal, are pronounced as Gamal. Thats the first thing you will notice, there are other differences. Wikipedia has more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/egyptian_ar... It is COMPLETLY different!!! Belive me I speak spoken (modern) arabic.
