Are there any pyramids in Luxor (Egypt)?

Travel Info
I'm going to Luxor and I feel that going to Egypt and not seeing the pyramids is as good as not going there at all! Unfortunately I find long journeys quite tiring and would like to know if there are any pyramids in luxor or nearby? I'd be greatful is someone would let me know. Thank you.

Travel Tips
as you have already been told there are no real pyramids at luxor, only very small ones in the valley of the workers. the three you normally see in pictures are in Giza Cairo, it is a very long car drive and most people wouldn't go there by car, however it is only a one hour flight and you will be able to take a day trip to Cairo to see the museum and pyramids if you would like to. Its not cheap but a lot cheaper than having a second holiday on Cairo.
There are however many many other things to see in luxor including some of the most amazing tombs as has been mentioned above by MrT also fabulous temples. If you went out every day for a fortnight i doubt you would be able to see everything. There is so much to see. i would recommend the valleys of the kings, queens , nobles and workers. karnak and luxor temple. the temples of medinet habu and deir el bahri. you will enjoy your trip i guarantee it, and you will not be disappointed with the places you will see. the first time i went into one of the valley of the queens tombs. i sat on the floor in one of the side chapels, and simply looked at the paintings for 20 mins. and my first few of the hyperstyle hall at karnak had me breathless. believe me the sites in luxor are astonishing and just as breathtaking as the Giza pyramids.

No it is the place of ancient temple ruins:

As the site of the ancient Egyptian city of Thebes, Luxor has frequently been characterised as the "world's greatest open air museum", the ruins of the temple complexes at Karnak and Luxor standing within the modern city.
