Travel Info http://ummahfilms.blogspot.com/2006/11/t... I saw this video..and honestly I did not like it. Firstly I don't think a man should be telling a woman how to dress.. It is wrong to judge people on what they wear.. I think it gives a bad image of Islam to non muslims as that all we are concerned about is telling a woman that she is not wearing correct hijab. I'm asking this because I'm surprised at the comment the video received. Many people agreed with it. Are they really many Muslims who go round judging women who show a bit of hair under their hijab?? (I'm asking this in Egypt section as..I came accross this video through a question here, and I'm only asking Muslims..because this is a debate within the Muslim community) Travel Tips I actually watched this video when it was posted yesterday also. I was not impressed with it. I took the time to watch some of his other videos and I was not impressed with those either. I think the guy just liked to hear himself talk. I find it sad also, that so many people gave the video positive comments. It is a sad situation that there are so many brainwashed people in the world, who are unable to make decisions for themselves. They have to look to anyone who has the ability to pass themselves off as an expert, even if it is some guy talking to himself in front of a video camera. He was trying hard to be funny. He wasn't. His material was not even original and in some of the other videos he could not even stay on topic. I found him to be very condescending, sanctimonious and self-serving. Sure he is trying to do a "good deed" by spreading his message, but if you ask me he is spreading the wrong message. I think we need to become less concerned with the outward things, not only in Islam, but in the whole world. Let's focus our attention on the more important issues in this world. I think we can find more important things to worry about than if someone is letting their ears show. There are people starving in the world in supposedly civilized countries. Surely this is more important than a few strands of hair showing under a see through hijab. Your religion is not in your clothes. It is in your heart. Others i m with you. 100%. Actually the hijab have certain specifications,so if a women would like to wear it, she should wear it wright, or better not. So if i see a girl wearing the veil, and a micro jupe(miniskirt) i wouldn't be happy!!! That what he meant, cause when u wear the hijab u have certain responsability, like if a girl isn't good from the inside, she shouldn't wear it!!! And i wouldn't judge girls wearing miniskirts,but i would to a muhajaba wearing one. read my previous post to the same subject and you think that the hijab nowadays or no hijab at all is giving a "good" image of islam,if that what concerns you...... i bit of hair under hijab??? ohh that's the main problem we muslims don't understand our religion,so who the hell you'll teach it to others?...hijab is not covering your hair dear....before you say your opinion in Alluh's rules and the prophet's...learn about it am sorry dear but the other video is soo disoppointing...other than 1 girl(the one in dark blue)........i mean these examples sickens me........that what are nation is starting to look like... do you like that? that's is the better way to talk about hijab.? that's ok to wear short sleeves and show my hair and even take it off for swimming and clubbing? hasbya alluho wa ne'm al wakeel its OK to post such think , am Muslim too and not wearing hijab , but i dont agree with you when u said ( a man shouldn't be telling a woman how to dress ), our first teacher was a man -Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) - dont forget that he taught Muslims Mothers and all his wives (PBUT) how to dress , cover and act . he even taught them how to eat . sorry to say we always forget our Sunna Nabaweia. regarding that video he also mentioned that men should cover correctly re-watch it again . ** Edit 1 ** i agree with you we cant compare Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) , forget bout the man in the video but there is number of people who r really good . if u an Arab so u know Al Sheikh Al Shaarawi . listen our religion is about the way we love it and the way they teach us , if this man doent touch your heart other will do . who cares why dont u just do what u think is right? |
