Problems in Egypt?

For my world history final i have to do a research paper on a modern country from the second of third world in the post 1945 after WW2 era. i chose Egypt to do. i have to use at least 3 sources and list them in my bibliography. it must be a country that is struggling to develop either Political stability democratic government, modernization, supply food, water, housing and jobs to a needy population and economic/industrial growth. i have noooo idea what to write about and where to find it ive tried wikipedia but idk what to look for. any good sites on this information for me to start my research paper?

You chose a very good country to do a thesis on, all you have to say it is a police state and leave it at that, if you start going any deeper such as the war with Israel and the few hostilities that it seems to not want to forget, and why does it need all the dollars from other countries when it has 45% of its income coming from the suez canal and the rest it seems from tourism,then they have all the oil, gas, minerals and food to sustain its own economy, not saying anything about the export of sugar, cotton etc. but the following pages may be of some use to you,

The Nile flowed South to North, so Southern Egypt was actually in the North while Northern Egypt was in the South.

That can be a little confusing? Does that count?
I think a good topic would be the job situation in Egypt. It is not an easy task to get a good job there. Once a person gets a good job, they tend to keep it forever. Employee turnover is virtually unheard of. Of course it does happen. But no, jobs are not easy to find. That directly affects all aspects of life there; modernization, housing, so forth.
