Good western style hotel in Cairo, Egypt? |
Travel Info I will be visiting Cairo this August for ten days. Still need to make my hotel reservations. Any specific hotels I should consider in the <70$ range. Travel Tips Hate to be the one to break the bad news, but your $70 limit eliminates all 5 star hotels. Such hotels usually start $90 per person/ night and go up to $400 Four Seasons. The bad news is there aren't many 4 star hotels around. I would say Flamenco that is posted above is a decent hotel, good location. Should be in the range of $40-60 per night. I can also recommend President hotels also in Zamalek. Mena House Oberoi in Haram should be border line, it is 5 stars, near the pyramids, but far away from the city. It is about an hour drive from downtown and at least 2 hours from the airport. If you can raise your budget to $90, then the Conrad could be a good option. 5 stars, decent location. Remember, by making a direct resevation, which is slightly unusual, you get high rates. Booking through travel agents should get u a decent discount.
