Travel Info Do you need to get any form of visa to go for a 2 week holiday to Egypt? Travel Tips yes you need a tourist visa it last for 6 months but if you leave the country you have to get a new one each time. Whilst your on the flight they hand them out for you to fill in before arriving at the airport if not you can get them at the airport then you hand it in with your passport and if you plane to leave the area your staying in then you will need to pay around 拢10 and they will place 2 stamps in the passport (it is worth getting a visa for 拢10 as you never know what trips you will go on and you may need a visa to go on it) you then hand in the visa card you filled in and the passport at passport control they keep the visa card and then that is it. when you leave at the airport when you give your suitcase at the desk they dive you another visa card to fill in the hand it in with your passport at passport control and that is all you need to do. If you get confused at all there are a lot of people who will be happy to help you have a good time. I was there last month... you need a tourist visa which you can get on arrival which is about 拢10. although you won't need 1 if only going to Sharm or that area and stay there for the whole 2 weeks. you will need a visa though if your planning on going to Cairo etc during your stay. its easier to get the visa on arrival than anywhere else though. We arrived in Cairo at 1 in the morning and it was still easy to get. if you are being met by a rep they will deal with all for you. ours did. have a wonderful time though whatever you are doing there. we have many happy memories of our time there last year. if you want any more info just email as i collected lots of info books before i went can u say em haw i do all form? |
