What is Egypts money currency?

I have this project im doing on Egypt for my Geography class. I need to know what egypts money currency is compared to U.S dollars. For example what is Egypts money currency for $1.00 in the U.S and $2.00 and so on..i know this may be confussing what im asking, but if you understand, let me know. thanks! :)

Hi, the above answer is mostly correct but it is called Egyptian pound with a symbol "LE" which means Livre Egyptien in french, and our coins are piasters not piastes.

So u can write $ 1 = LE 5.56
