That depends on the situation, if it's my son I always tell him or my family. Some times I do keep it to myself, but i really shouldn't because you never know what tomorrow brings.
You have to speak out. If u love someone u want what's best for them.

But how to speak is the dilemma, you could have someone's best interest at heart but the way u convey yr opinion will offend them or rub them the wrong way, or u could be seen as preaching and eventually they end up doing the exact opposite.

People differ, some might like it straight, some wants to feel that u care and show emotions, some never listen "period."

So, if u really love someone, speaking yr mind could be difficult. That's why if u reach a point with yr partner, be it yr wife, husband, family, friends,etc... where u r so connected that u don't need words to actually speak yr mind is considered the highest level of harmony between the two of u.
Well that's my opinion, what's yours???

EDIT: I am talking about all relationships and all subjects, not just between man/woman. Thank God i have this "harmony" with my sister, she knows what i want to say before i actually speak and the other way around.
It always helps when you let it out, specially if you have a problem with some one tell them in their face, that builds confidence and a barrier of respect between people, most people who i have confronted with respect never had a reason to argue. If you are right, speak up. Do not let anything in the world stand between you and what you think. Every human being is a confident person unless they keep it to them selves and let their memory rott thier life. But if youre wrong, that happens at times, accept, respect and move on. Respect is everything, if you dont have that in the first place, who will care what you have to say any way.

There are things that one should keep to himself, but sharing can ease the burden. But if you love some one and do not have to confidence to tell them, just hang in there buddy, we're all made from the same dye, have some courage and let it out. Well if you never will, how can you tell if it works or not. Have to begin somewhere. And it doesnt really matter that if they love you or not, that will be clear when you let it out. If they do, well hell, what else do you want. But if they dont, let it go, move on, life is a loooooong trip.

and look whos talking, i dont even have the courage to tell my parents how much i love them and how much i miss them, and how i want my mother to put her hand on my shoulder that made me feel invincible and the most proud humanbeing. Oh well, life goes on.
