Travel Info So please dont just answer with hate and anger, Why exactly do you hate Israel so much? I genuinely dont understand. I know you had a really bad war, but that was a long time ago (We had one with Germany, Italy and Japan but we dont hate them) and anyway you hated them before that. And is there ever going to be a chance for peace and understanding and if so under which circumstances. Travel Tips It's a government conspiracy to brain wash the people. They want us to "hate" Israel and forget about our actual problems " corruption, unemployment, poverty, dictatorship and other problems". Israel in this sense is very similar to "Om Kalthom" and soccer matches. All these means of diversion started in Nasser's era. He was a very smart man who knew the value of media in distracting the attention of the masses. You will find the people until this day focusing on Israel and forgetting about our actual problems. If you read any governmental newspaper, you will find that there is a section devoted to discussing the Israeli affairs. On the other hand, if you read any of the oppositional newspapers, you won't find such a thing. Instead, you would notice that they are focused on discussing our internal problems. An example of a "public" newspaper would be Al Ahram. Al doustor on the other hand is an example of a truly patriotic newspaper. The reason behind this technique of diversion is that we're governed and ruled by military officers. This is something that they learn and apply efficently. Unfortunately, this is the only thing that they know how to do well. They don't know how to run a country, develop it and bring luxury to its people. I remeber something amusing. My high school was a military one. It was the worst school ever with low level of education and horrible administration. Every morning they would force us to salut the Egyptian flag. Our salutation was weak and devoid of enthusiasm because we didn't possess any actual sense of belonging. I noticed that the officers would resort to the old trick. They would remind us of war and enemies. They would repeat the cliche " Are you going to fight Israel with the same lack of enthusiasm?". Soon after the officer would finish this phrase, most of the shallow minded students would bark the national anthem in full-throated stupidity. It's the same old story again and again. Edit: I usually tolerate thumbs down in other questions because I understand why I am getting them, but why am I being thumbed down now? Would any of the down thumbers care to explain why "my own non-offensive point of view" should be thumbed down? Can't you people tolerate any different point of view ? Do you see everything in black and white? Do you just feel the need to listen to what "you" want to hear? Others politics!!religions!!origins!! do you love any other nationalities rather than Israelis!!???'((hate=hate)),as for my self I don't hate people of any nationality, but I hate war!!??I hate arrogance & perjudice!!((why every group of people think they r selected?))that's the main reason for any war!!people need to know that God is fair!!& he loves all people equaly!!if we realize this we will end-up any war!! Hope I qualify, im married to an Egyptian and I live there part time. The main anger is no longer so much that Isreal exists, its that it waged an offensive war in '67 and wont return the land it seized. It has cut the west bank into so many parts and made it nearly impossible for people to travel and have any kind of business and make a living...it is an occupying force and treats the palestinians Very bad. You would think that the jews after the concentration camps would be the first ones NOT to do it to someone else. But their national pride and their vow to never let it happen again has got the best of their sense of decency......now we could get into some religious areas, but basically this is what i hear in a nut-shell. Hope it was helpful mmmm...it's really simple we grew up knowing that there was a war between Egyptians and Israelis...they were occupying Sinai....that's enough for me.... and now Israel is also occupying a Muslim Arab country...killing,destroying, Palestine since 1948... it's not the war itself..we_thanks to God_ triumphed over them...it's the matter of the occupation itself and the dark age that Egypt went through during that time.... Egypt was occuppied by the British, but now we dont hate the british people(although the war in iraq seems to be reversing the trend, at least for me, but again it's the government not the people.) Isreal is a different story, these people STOLE arab land, they came from different parts of the world, Russia, Poland....etc and they gathered on our land, this is besides the daily atrocities committed against innocent palestinians...we would NEVER love these people, it's like having a peace agreement with a thief who promises to break into your home everyday!!!! simply becoz they have the power and they don't want any country around them have it...!!!! because they make many tricks on us and they killing every day the Palestinian people and try want to occupy the whole of the world with America s help |
